Under this new situation, we had already achieved great success and accumulated new experiences under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory, and many contents of the previously written "Introduction to Socialist Market Economy" had become outdated and could no longer fully meet the new requirements for improving the socialist market economy. Therefore, based on the spirit of the 16th National Congress, and after earnestly studying and mastering Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought of the Three Represents while extensively absorbing new theoretical research findings, we have revised and rewritten the book.
