Compared to previous textbooks, this one has three main features: , it discusses the topic based on legal systems as the main framework and the development of legal systems in typical countries as the thread, with a more concise and compact structure. Second, it places greater emphasis on summarizing the legal experiences of modern and developed countries, with more than two-thirds of the content dedicated to modern and contemporary law, and many chapters covering the new developments in law from the late 1990s to the early 21st century. Third, it has added several sidebars and illustrations to explain some important and complex issues in a concise and clear manner, making it easier for readers to grasp key points.
