Features: In oil painting, still life, when traced back, was mostly the background or embellishment in religious paintings, genre paintings, and portraits. With accumulated effort and time reaching a certain level, painters began to enlarge it, move it to the foreground, enhance its decorative qualities, and infuse it with symbolic meaning. Eventually, it stood quietly on its own, becoming an independent subject on par with genre, landscape, and portrait paintings. Many countries' still life paintings have gone through a similar growth process. This art album primarily selects classic works of Russian oil painting still life from the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring renowned painters such as Grabar, Mashkov, Melnikov, Moiseyenko, and A. V. Kuprin, among others. It provides a relatively complete display of the emergence, development, and evolution of Russian oil painting art, as well as the distinct artistic characteristics of each painter. It holds significant reference and value for China's oil painting art.
