Features: The interaction between Confucian studies and literature is a hallmark of the deepening study of Qing literature, and the relationship between the Changzhou School and various literary forms is a key topic in such in-depth research. This topic not only requires integrating Confucian classics, history, philosophy, and literature but also must rigorously reveal the path of the transitional phase during the middle and late (or modern) period of the Qing Dynasty. This book conducts an in-depth study of Confucian studies and literature in the Qing Dynasty, using the Changzhou intellectual group as a model. The content is rich, the arguments are thorough, and it holds high academic value. In my opinion, the study of Qing literature absolutely cannot limit its focus to a few so-called famous and renowned figures, as that would undoubtedly be stagnation. The main title of my work strives to achieve a vision that broadens the research scope as much as possible, with evidence gathered as widely as horizontally, naturally involving scholars and literati without restrictions on their status, and not confined to the Changzhou prefecture, to avoid being confined in a cocoon and seeing the trees but missing the forest.
