This book is the first part, and its basic content is a survey report by the Research Team of the "Report on the State of Chinese Language Life" on various aspects of Chinese language life in 2005. They also listened to opinions from experts and relevant departments multiple times, revising the report numerous times without any signs of fatigue. This book is divided into two parts, with this volume being the first part, which contains a survey report by the Research Team of the "Report on the State of Chinese Language Life" on various aspects of Chinese language life in 2005. As it is the first annual report, information about the situation before 2005 is also introduced.
