Rereading Lu Xun: Corrections and Additions

Author: Zhu Zheng
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-10-01
Features: This book was written under the guidance and help of Feng Xuefeng, who was a student and friend of Lu Xun and was called by Xu Guangping a "master of Lu Xun studies." After its publication in 1979, it attracted attention from the academic community, and some of its conclusions were widely accepted by Lu Xun's biographers. Hu Qiaoju believed that the book could serve as a reference for textbook on editing studies. Now, the author has supplemented and revised the book based on new materials discovered after its completion, making the content even more comprehensive. In Greek mythology, the owl is the prototype of the goddess Athena of wisdom; in Hegel's dictionary, it is an alias for philosophical thought; and in Lu Xun's life, it is even a symbol of personal will. Lu Xun spent his life searching for the Chinese owl. Although he was not skilled in painting, he depicted patterns of owls. We have selected one of them as the logo of the series. We yearn for wisdom, we pray for new voices. This is the origin of the "Owl Academic Series."
