Features: This series consists of three. The main character, Guogu Monkey, will guide us through The Wonderful Ocean Tour, The Thrilling Jungle Adventure, and The Happy Farm Gathering. Each book is designed based on the cognitive development and interests of young children, progressing from simple to complex, gradually introducing animal knowledge. Each animal in the book is presented in its own unit, which includes four sections.
Section 1: "Catchy Nursery Rhymes." Each rhyme is written based on the characteristics of a specific animal, easy to learn and sing along, helping children develop language skills while learning.
Section 2: "Animal Fun Facts." Guogu Monkey tells children simple and easy-to-understand animal facts.
Section 3: "Brain Teasers, Tongue Twisters, and Hands-on Activities." Each unit includes unique intellectual training exercises. For example, The Wonderful Ocean Tour focuses on developing visual-spatial intelligence and observation skills.
Section 4: "Expert Guidance." Here, experts provide advice on how to help children grasp various animal knowledge and engage in intellectual games.
This book combines nursery rhymes, intellectual training, beautiful illustrations, and vivid pictures to help children understand animals' interesting habits and characteristics from a scientific perspective. It enriches their knowledge, inspires them to develop a sense of love and protection for animals from a young age, and enhances their diverse intelligences—such as observation skills, spatial thinking, abstract reasoning, logical deduction, and reverse thinking—through intellectual training.
The intellectual training goals of the three parent-child books vary: The Wonderful Ocean Tour focuses on visual-spatial intelligence and observation skills; The Thrilling Jungle Adventure emphasizes numerical-logical intelligence and memory; The Happy Farm Gathering targets artistic perception and language skills.
During parent-child reading, different methods can be used to guide infants aged 0–3. For 0–1-year-olds, the picture-explanation method: "Baby, this is a conch, a beautiful conch." "Octopuses are swimming in the sea! This is an octopus's eye." For 1–2-year-olds, the pointing method: "Baby, point to where the octopus is." "Oh, baby, where is the crab?" The word-chain method: "Baby, this is a—" (crab), "this is a—" (octopus). For 2–3-year-olds, the question-and-answer method: "Baby, what is this? What is it doing?" For children over 3, parents can accompany them in simple intellectual games.
