Content: In Changshu, if you ask who the wealthiest family is, the answer will undoubtedly be the "Dalu Huang Family." They are prosperous but have only two sons, Huang Hong and Huang Lianggong. The ancestors of the Huang family originally bore the surname Wang and were once servants of the Chen family. They defected and changed their surname to Huang, settling in Kunshan. By the early years of the Wanli era, Huang Hong's father, Huang Yuanfu, returned to Changshu. Originally, Huang Yuanfu's mother had worked as a wet nurse for the Ye family in Kunshan, nursing a child who grew up to become a successful young official in Shanxi, amassing great wealth. Grateful for her milk-feeding, she entrusted Huang Yuanfu to manage the land, allowing him to return to his hometown. Huang Yuanfu was a shameless and unscrupulous man. Every year, before the new grain was harvested, he would take his own boat out to discuss the harvest's prospects and the amount of rent, shouting and making a scene at the table.
