Features: Experimental Nuclear Medicine is one of the series of planned teaching materials for master's and doctoral students in medical, pediatric, pharmacy, and preventive medicine, developed under the guidance and organization of the National Higher Medical Education Textbook Construction Research Association, the Textbook Office of the Ministry of Health, and the People's Medical Publishing House, in line with the spirit of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to further standardize and strengthen graduate education. This textbook focuses on the application of nuclear medicine techniques in medical research fields, systematically introducing new technologies, new methods, and cutting-edge research areas in nuclear medicine. It elaborates on how to apply nuclear medicine techniques to solve difficult problems encountered in basic and clinical medicine for graduate students of various medical disciplines. Nuclear medicine differs from other disciplines as it serves as both an important research tool for exploring key theories in life sciences and a medical applied discipline addressing practical clinical problems. Therefore, while emphasizing experimental research, this textbook also incorporates clinical application research, providing an effective research method for clinical graduate students to complete their degree projects. The book is divided into two parts: Experimental Techniques and Clinical Research. The Experimental Techniques part (Chapters 1 to 14) accounts for about 2/3 of the book and covers the general principles of experimental nuclear medicine, focusing on introducing major nuclear medicine techniques and teaching research methods. The Clinical Research part (Chapters 15 to 24) explains how nuclear medicine addresses clinical problems. Following the development of the discipline, the textbook systematically introduces the history, current status, existing issues, and future directions of major technological advancements in nuclear medicine, reflecting the hotspots and cutting-edge technologies in nuclear medicine research today, particularly in molecular nuclear medicine. To facilitate targeted in-depth study and research tracking, each chapter includes key references.
