Features: This book is specifically written for candidates preparing for the postgraduate entrance English examination. High-frequency vocabulary refers to words that appear frequently in postgraduate entrance exams. They usually have multiple meanings, flexible collocations, and some of their meanings may not be familiar to everyone. These words are essential for candidates to master. The compilers have selected these high-frequency words through computer classification and frequency statistics of all vocabulary from the postgraduate entrance exam papers between 1990 and 2006. Candidates must diligently master the various common meanings of these words to achieve success in the exam. To facilitate learners in using the cyclic memorization method, the compilers have selected a total of 1,728 high-frequency words, organized into 18 units, with 96 words per unit. The arrangement of the words strictly follows the core principles of cyclic memorization, so learners do not need to worry about the order of cycles during practice.
Behind each word, there is one or more horizontal lines, specifically designed for learners to write the words directly. This is a distinctive feature of the book as a vocabulary learning tool. Each horizontal line can be written once, from left to right. After completing one line, move to the next line and continue writing from left to right until all lines are filled. The two cycles at the end of each unit should be performed sequentially, completing them from top to bottom. Learners do not need to write more or less, as the principle of cyclic memorization is reflected through the continuous changes of these words and the lines behind them. As long as learners follow the steps systematically, they can succeed.
This book selects 1,728 high-frequency words, organized into 18 units. By practicing for 1 hour a day, learners can comprehensively master the high-frequency vocabulary for the postgraduate entrance exam in 18 days.
