Features: This qualification standard is applicable to professionals working in or aspiring to work in the field of engineering project management. The major components of the standard outline the work, while the standard itself serves to explain and guide practitioners. Depending on the different project management activities undertaken by practitioners and the varying positions and responsibilities they hold, these are reflected in the summaries of major and sub-projects. Applicants for the qualification must provide strong evidence of their experience in project management, as well as their knowledge and understanding of it. The foundation of this standard is the UK National Vocational Qualification Standard for the construction industry, developed by the Construction Industry Council (CISC) on behalf of the industry and maintained by the Construction Industry Committee (CIC) on behalf of the national training providers. To reflect the specific content and hierarchical levels of this management activity, and in line with the characteristics of China and Chongqing, the standard development team modified the UK standard and formulated the Chongqing International Project Manager Qualification Standard.
