Features: The vocabulary in this book is divided into nine levels based on frequency of occurrence and teaching needs. Basic vocabulary learned in high school is classified as Level 0, with approximately 1,800 words. Undergraduate vocabulary is classified as Levels 1-4, with 800 words per level. Graduate-level vocabulary is classified as Levels 5-6, with 1,200 words per level. Doctoral-level vocabulary for civil engineering and construction, as well as advanced engineering professionals, is classified as Levels 7-8, with 1,700 words per level. The book contains a total of 10,800 entries, and Appendix I includes more than 800 common phrases. Considering that readers who read English professional literature must already possess certain professional knowledge, this saves space by only including individual words rather than professional terms composed of two or more words. The words included in the book balance both basic vocabulary and professional terms across various civil engineering and construction disciplines.
