Features: During the preparation of this standard, practical experiences and research findings from domestic and international practices were summarized. It adheres to the national policies on environmental protection and waste disposal technology. The standard specifies principles for urban (including towns) and domestic waste disposal, as well as the layout principles and requirements for public environmental sanitation facilities, environmental sanitation engineering facilities, and other environmental sanitation facilities. It also outlines the main content requirements for environmental sanitation facilities in various stages of urban planning and in specialized (thematic) urban environmental sanitation facility planning. The opinions of relevant units across the country were widely solicited, and the standard was finally reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Construction in conjunction with relevant departments. In this standard, provisions marked in bold are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
