Features: The southeastern region, where the five major Han ethnic groups are concentrated, is the most distinctive Han Chinese cultural and social area in southern China. By grasping the overall picture of the traditional society and culture in the southeastern region, this book further examines the socio-cultural characteristics of different regional identities from the perspective of historical ethnic and geographical distribution. This includes regional social backgrounds, population migration processes, migration routes, and cultural exchanges. With the regional living circle as the basic research scope, it explores the interactive relationships between settlements and architecture, and clan organizations and family life. The book analyzes the types and characteristics of residential patterns, and employs regional type theories to conduct comparative studies on architectural models and their evolution in different regions, which are the focal points of this research.
