Features: "It looks beautiful, it should also live beautifully" is the theme of this issue of "Residential Areas," "The International Housing Exhibition of 1927 in Germany." The exhibition invited numerous modern architectural masters to jointly plan and design a residential area, pioneering a new era in residential design. The exhibition primarily explored the application of new materials and technologies in residential construction; investigated architectural models linked to standardization and industrialization; examined the structure of residential form and function; and explored urban residential models for middle- and low-income groups. This issue of "Residential Areas" features two articles on old city renovation and renewal in the residential research section. Based on practical research, the two articles discuss old city renovation methods and approaches from different perspectives.
