Features: Steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, steel-reinforced concrete structures, and concrete-filled steel tube structures are the four major structural types widely used in high-rise buildings today. The latter two are newly developed structural types with broad prospects, combining the advantages of steel and reinforced concrete structures. They offer high load-bearing capacity, good ductility, and strong deformation resistance, resulting in excellent wind and seismic resistance. Recent completed buildings such as Shanghai Jin Mao Tower, Shenzhen CTF Finance Centre, Shenzhen CSG Square Tower, Hong Kong Central Northeast Building, Yangtze River Center Tower, Taipei International Financial Center, and Kaohsiung International Plaza are examples of these innovative structures.
Based on engineering design needs, this book first presents engineering examples of various structural systems for steel-reinforced concrete and concrete-filled steel tube structures, analyzing their structural load-bearing characteristics, listing their wind and seismic resistance calculation results, component section sizes, and detailed construction details. Subsequently, following the 2002 revised versions of the relevant structural design codes and technical specifications, the book provides structural calculation principles, seismic and non-seismic calculation formulas for steel-reinforced concrete components, concrete-filled steel tube components, composite steel plates, and steel-concrete composite beams. It further illustrates detailed connection drawings of various component joints.
