Based on industrial technological advancements, higher technical requirements have been proposed for the product, such as increased quality statistics requirements for thickness and unit area mass, as well as stricter appearance quality requirements than the original standard;
Based on performance, indicators such as the electrical conductivity of water extraction liquid and the mechanical properties of fiberglass have been added.
Appendices A and B of this standard are normative appendices.
This standard was proposed by the former National Building Materials Industry Administration.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Fiberglass Standardization Technical Committee.
The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Nanjing Fiberglass Factory, Luoyang Jingwei Fiberglass Co., Ltd. of Luoyang Glass Group, Sichuan Fiberglass Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Fiberglass General Factory.
The main drafters of this standard are: Lu Xiaochao, Wang Yumei, Chen Shang, Ge Dunshi, Shi Zhuo, and Weng Zhiming.
This standard shall come into effect on December 1, 2002.
