Features: According to relevant regulations, the examination for registered geotechnical engineers in China is conducted in two stages. The first stage is the fundamental examination, which is taken by candidates after completing their undergraduate studies for a specified number of years as prescribed. Its purpose is to assess whether candidates have a basic grasp of the fundamental and professional theoretical knowledge necessary for entering geotechnical engineering practice. The second stage of the examination is the professional examination, which is taken by candidates who have passed the fundamental examination and have accumulated the required years of practical experience in geotechnical engineering. Its purpose is to evaluate whether candidates possess the ability to correctly implement national laws and technical specifications in geotechnical engineering survey, design, and construction, ensuring the safety, reliability, and economic rationality of projects. According to relevant regulations, candidates taking the professional examination for registered geotechnical engineers are allowed to bring specifications into the examination venue. Based on the recommendation of the expert group responsible for designing and scoring the examination questions for registered geotechnical engineers, this compilation includes 22 specifications and codes prescribed in the "Reference Book for the Professional Examination of Certified Civil Engineers (Geotechnical)" as specified. Additionally, five specifications could not be included due to various reasons. Please refer to the relevant specifications published by China Railway Publishing House.
