Features: The preface was written by the Ministry of Construction and published by China Planning Press. The "National Unified Construction and Installation Engineering Duration Norms" officially came into effect starting from its release in 2000, while the original "Construction and Installation Engineering Duration Norms" issued by the Ministry of Construction and Urban and Rural Development and Environmental Protection in 1985 were discontinued. To adapt to the current socialist market economy development in China, the new norms have made necessary revisions and supplements based on the old ones. Therefore, how to correctly understand, master, and apply the new norms to better serve the budgeting and construction projects of construction and installation engineering has become an urgent issue. To this end, we have compiled the book "Calculation Methods and Usage of the National Unified Construction and Installation Engineering Duration Norms," aiming to enable users of the new norms to grasp and utilize them more quickly and effectively. This book was primarily written by me and Dr. Cheng Tixin, with significant contributions from Engineer Li Feipeng and student Feng Shuyun in terms of data collection, organization, and text processing during the writing process. The compilation of this book was carried out during my wife, Professor Wang Jufen, was critically ill. She provided immense support and encouragement for the book's compilation, and without her support, it would have been impossible for me to lead this project. Additionally, it was due to the strong support and assistance from China Planning Press that this book could be brought to readers sooner. Here, I sincerely thank all the comrades who contributed to the publication of this book. It is true that due to the urgency of time and incomplete data collection in some areas, there may inevitably be some omissions and errors in the book. I also hope that experts, scholars, and readers will provide valuable suggestions while reading and using this book, so that it can truly become a good reference manual and your reliable assistant.
