Basic Engineering Construction Handbook (Second Edition)

Author: Writing Group of "Manual of Foundation Engineering Construction"
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-01-01
Features: The second edition of this manual expands its content scope based on the requirements of the new national standard "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Foundation and Foundation Engineering Construction" GB50202-2002. It adds a new chapter on "Earthwork Engineering"; the third chapter "Foundation Treatment and Reinforcement" now includes the "Cement Fly Ash Gravel Pile Method." Considering the characteristics of the fifth chapter "Foundation Pit Engineering," such as large project scale, high technical difficulty, complex geological conditions, and numerous unforeseen factors, additional topics have been included: "Cement Soil Wall," "H-Pile Wood Diaphragm Support Structure," "Reinforced Concrete Sheet Pile," "SMW Method Retaining Wall," "Retirement of Support and Soil Layer Anchors," and "Foundation Pit Monitoring." Additionally, to facilitate engineers and technicians in promptly grasping and applying the new standard, the construction technology sections have been enhanced with "Construction Quality Control and Inspection," supplemented by a substantial number of engineering examples. Comprehensive revisions and supplements have been made to other chapters, with outdated and infrequently used materials removed and new processes, technologies, and materials added. After the modifications and supplements, the manual's content is more comprehensive, rich, and practical, with enhanced usability and operability. For the various issues present in the previous edition, we have made every effort to correct them during this revision.
