Features: During the revision process of the "Technical Specification for Waterproofing of Underground Engineering," the revision team conducted extensive research and collected data. Based on summarizing the practical experience of waterproofing in China's underground engineering in recent years, and referring to relevant international standards while widely soliciting opinions from units across the country, the design and construction content of the "Technical Specification for Waterproofing of Underground Engineering Construction and Acceptance" (GBJ208-83) and the "Technical Specification for Waterproofing of Underground Engineering" (GBJ108-87) were revised. The main contents of this revision include: In terms of overall structure, chapters were reorganized and rewritten based on the approach of waterproofing for the main structure of underground engineering, waterproofing for detailed structures, and drainage. In the design content, the standardization of waterproofing levels was quantified, and corresponding waterproofing design plans were formulated for underground engineering using different construction methods. Significant modifications were made to common waterproofing methods and materials, including the addition of "Plastic Waterproofing Board Waterproofing Layer." Technical performance indicators were proposed for selected materials, and new regulations were introduced for the selection of water penetration resistance levels of waterproofing concrete. In the content on waterproofing for detailed structures, waterproofing methods for "Reserved Passage Joints" and "Pile Heads" were added, and relevant content was supplemented for the design and construction of expansion joints. Waterproofing methods for "Inverted Structure" were also added. After revision, the original specification (GBJ108-87), consisting of 10 chapters, 32 sections, and 179 articles, has been expanded to 10 chapters, 36 sections, and 285 articles. This will play an important role in ensuring the quality of waterproofing in underground engineering.
