Publisher: China Planning Press
Publishing Time: None
Features: This standard is based on the "Inland Waterway Navigation Standards" GBJ139—90, summarizing and drawing on domestic and international navigation technology research achievements and practical experience. It was revised through extensive surveys, widespread consultations, and specialized research. The standard primarily includes technical content such as waterways, locks, river-crossing structures, and navigation water levels. Since the promulgation and implementation of the "Inland Waterway Navigation Standards" GBJ139—90 over a decade ago, it has played a significant role in the construction and management of inland waterways and the comprehensive utilization of water resources, achieving notable social and economic benefits. With the continuous development of the water transport industry, inland ship types, fleets, and transportation methods have undergone significant changes. The construction of inland waterways, navigation structures, and river-crossing structures has also accumulated many new experiences. To adapt to new development requirements, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport organized relevant units to revise the original standard. The main revisions include adjusting certain navigation dimensions for natural and canalized rivers and restricted waterways in the original standard; incorporating technical content for special wide and shallow rivers, turbulent mountain rivers, and lakes and reservoirs; adding regulations on the scale, layout, and navigation water flow conditions of locks; and supplementing guidelines for the site selection and layout of river-crossing structures as well as navigation water levels. In this standard, provisions marked in bold are mandatory and must be strictly enforced. The Ministry of Construction is responsible for the management of this standard and the interpretation of mandatory provisions, while the Water Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport is responsible for specific management, and the Yangtze River Waterway Bureau is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
