Features: This standard specifies the general requirements, test methods, selection principles, inspection rules, acceptance, packaging and transportation, installation, operation and maintenance, and performance testing of composite insulators for AC overhead lines with a rated voltage higher than 1000V.
This standard applies to composite insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) for AC overhead power lines, power plants, and substations with a rated voltage higher than 1000V and a frequency of 50Hz. The installation altitude is below 1000m, and the ambient temperature ranges from -40°C to +40°C. This standard includes requirements for selecting insulators based on specific operating conditions. The technical conditions for composite insulators used in DC overhead lines can be referred to for implementation.
