Features: To better fulfill the responsibility and obligations of reporting China's standards to foreign countries after joining the World Trade Organization, and to provide enterprises and relevant personnel with information on mandatory local and industry standards, the National Standardization Administration of China is responsible for collecting and entrusting China Standard Press to edit and publish the "Directory of Mandatory Local and Industry Standards of the People's Republic of China 2005." This directory collects the catalogs of mandatory local standards issued by the standard management authorities of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as the catalogs of mandatory industry standards issued by relevant departments of the State Council, up to the end of April 2005. The book is divided into two parts: the first part is the catalog of mandatory local standards, arranged in order of the administrative division codes of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities as specified in the "Administrative Measures for Local Standards" and the sequential number of the standards. The second part is the catalog of mandatory industry standards, arranged in alphabetical order of the industry standard name codes (in pinyin) for various industry standards, with each industry's standards arranged by the sequential number of the standards. Each part of the standard catalog includes standard number, standard name, standard publication date, and standard implementation date. At the end of the book, there are appendices of the "Administrative Measures for Local Standards" and the "Administrative Measures for Industry Standards."
