Features: In a civilized society, the safety of mechanical and electrical equipment has been placed in a prominent position, and electrical safety standards serve as a crucial basis for ensuring the safety of people, equipment, and health during the design, manufacturing, and use of mechanical and electrical equipment. Today, both domestically and internationally, safety of industrial products is given extreme importance, and only safe products are permitted to enter the market, as stipulated in relevant laws and regulations. With the rapid development of domestic and international economic and trade, market competition has become increasingly fierce, and product safety has become a decisive factor in enhancing market competitiveness. The safety level of products also directly affects the economic interests of users and the reputation of manufacturers. China has joined the World Trade Organization (WTO), which has brought opportunities for the export of Chinese products but has also introduced foreign products into the Chinese market for competition. Therefore, ensuring product safety and meeting market demands have become increasingly urgent and important. The purpose of compiling this user manual is to adapt to this situation and provide convenience for the rational use of safety standards by manufacturers and users of mechanical and electrical equipment and electrical systems. This manual is one of the books for understanding and implementing safety standards for mechanical and electrical equipment. It includes more than 50 commonly used standards for mechanical and electrical equipment and electrical systems, covering basic provisions, motors, transformers, electrical installations in buildings, safety signs and labels, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), risk assessment, and other standards. It includes both Chinese national standards and translated versions of IEC standards. The documents included in this manual have been rearranged, shortened, and refined to varying degrees to make them more convenient, efficient, and effective for readers to use. The manual includes most of the normative references of GB5226.1-2002, and some technical requirements of GB5226.1 are refined through normative references. Studying these normative references is necessary for the standardization of GB5226.1. Therefore, this user manual should be used in conjunction with the "Guide to Understanding and Implementing Safety Standards for Mechanical and Electrical Equipment: GB5226.1-2002 Mechanical Safety Mechanical Electrical Equipment Part 1: General Technical Conditions." It can also be used alone for other purposes. Since mechanical and electrical equipment involves dozens of industries such as metal processing, light industry, textiles, printing, packaging, construction, building materials, mining and quarrying, and food machinery, this manual has a broad coverage and is suitable for personnel engaged in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, use, maintenance, standardization, and other aspects of mechanical and electrical equipment and electrical systems, as well as other electrical personnel. Due to the limitations of the compilers' level and time, omissions are inevitable. Comments and corrections are welcome.
