Publish Date: 2004-02-01
Features: To meet the rapid development needs of geographic information technology in China and facilitate a wider readership in understanding and referencing the ISO 19100 series standards at an early stage, this series of standards has been translated and compiled into national standards of China, laying a foundation for the development of national geographic information standards. We have organized the translation and compilation of this manual. The manual includes the draft texts of the first batch of 19 international geographic information standards (ISO 19101, ISO 19103–19120) developed by ISO/TC211, arranged in numerical order. The ISO 19102 project has been withdrawn according to Resolution No. 192 adopted at the 13th Plenary Meeting and is not included in this manual. These 19 standards are both independent and strongly interconnected. To help readers understand the background, content of these standards, and the progress of other standards being developed by ISO/TC211, we have written the article "Current Status and Progress of International Geographic Information Standards Development," which can provide some assistance.
