Features: Mechanical industry standards are the technical basis for organizing product production, delivery, and acceptance, serving as a technical guarantee for improving product quality and a key condition for enterprises to achieve the best economic benefits. The promotion and application of standardization technology in business operations, along with the serious implementation of standards, are crucial for shortening product development cycles, controlling product manufacturing quality, and reducing production costs. They also have a significant impact on enhancing a company's market competitiveness, developing economies of scale, and advancing specialized cooperation. To promote the implementation of mechanical industry standards and meet the needs of readers for standard texts, our press has systematically compiled and published the "China Mechanical Industry Standards Collection" series according to professional and category classifications. This series consists of five parts: comprehensive technology, basic interchangeability, general components, common process technologies, and general products, each further divided into several volumes. "Gears and Gear Drives" is one of the volumes in the general components section. This volume was jointly compiled by our third editorial department and the National Gear Standardization Technical Committee, collecting 76 currently valid standards approved before November 2004. Among them, there are 61 national standards and 15 mechanical industry standards. It is published in two volumes. The content includes: basic standards, involute cylindrical gears, circular arc cylindrical gears, bevel gears and hypoid gears, worm gears, planetary gears, gear material heat treatment, gear set testing, and others.
