Features: This standard replaces HG/T2588—1994 "Direct Brilliant Yellow 4R (Direct Frozen Yellow G)". The main differences between this standard and HG/T2588—1994 are:

- The product name "Direct Frozen Yellow G" (the standard name in HG/T2588—1994) has been removed and replaced with a new name.
- 23 technical indicators for harmful aromatic amines have been added (Section 3.2 of this standard).
- The color fastness test items and technical indicators have been adjusted (Section 3.3 of this standard).
- The content for dyeing 5g of cotton yarn or cotton fabric has been added (Section 5.2 of this standard).
- The model inspection frequency has been changed from semi-annual to annual (Section 6.1 of this standard, Section 5.1 of HG/T2588—1994).
