Features: This book is the second volume in the series of new and improved experimental teaching materials for chemical experiments in higher education institutions in Shandong Province, focusing on organic chemistry experiments. The content is selected following the principle of progressing from simple to complex, and is divided into three main parts: basic experiments (76 experiments), comprehensive and applied experiments (20 experiments), and design experiments, totaling 108 experiments. The basic experiments emphasize the separation, analysis, and identification of modern organic compounds, while reducing the number of verification experiments. The basic synthesis experiments are based on typical organic reactions, incorporating some applied and widely influential reactions and compound types with relatively new content. Semi-micro experimental procedures are listed below certain experiments. Before each class of compounds, the general preparation methods, industrial synthesis routes, and recent developments of the compounds are introduced. A separate section titled "Organic Synthesis Methods under Unconventional Conditions" includes selected modern experimental content. The comprehensive and applied experiments highlight integrated training and practical application while catering to the teaching needs of majors such as medicine, pesticides, fine chemicals, and life sciences. The design experiments provide only the key points and ideas for synthesis. In each experiment, an additional section on "Physical Constants and Chemical Properties" is included for easy reference. The appendix provides infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and simple spectral analyses for most experimental products. This book is suitable for use in organic chemistry experimental courses in higher education institutions for chemistry and related majors, as well as for technical and management personnel in industries such as chemistry, chemical engineering, light industry, and food.
