Features: The "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" by Lu Xun and Xu Guangping, officially launched by the China Youth Press, is the most authoritative version nearly 70 years after Lu Xun's passing. This edition is entirely based on the original letters. Due to the passage of time, some content deleted in the other two versions can now be restored to its historical context. Over half a century has passed, and the original letters preserved in museums are now extremely difficult to decipher. Through the photocopying efforts of Lu Xun's son, Zhou Haiyin, and his wife, the legibility has been further compromised. Fortunately, the China Youth Press has unique advantages. Its predecessor was the Kaiping Bookstore, where Lu Xun, Ye Shengtao, Mao Dun, and Ba Jin, among other literary figures, shared a deep friendship. Historically, Kaiping Bookstore had published "Selected Works of Lu Xun," and the name of the China Youth Press itself is derived from Lu Xun's handwritten calligraphy. Today, the China Youth Press still has a group of elderly former Kaiping Bookstore staff who are familiar with Lu Xun's handwriting. They have also nurtured numerous new talents who excel in recognizing the handwriting of older writers. Some of them have even been entrusted with proofreading important collections at the central level. The editing and proofreading of "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" were carried out under this background. After nearly word-by-word research and discussion, the proofreading alone went through four rounds! On this basis, a new layout and printing were conducted. This version is completely different from any other edition of "Two Places." Its publication is not only a contribution to readers but also to the People's Republic of China and global Lu Xun studies. "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" authentically records the life journey of Lu Xun and Xu Guangping, from Xu's first letter to Lu Xun to their marriage and the birth of their beloved son, Zhou Haiyin. From a sociological perspective, humans are social beings, and most of the content in "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" depicts the human environment and social conditions of that era. Today's readers can, through these details, understand the joy brought by Lu Xun and Xu Guangping's genuine love after they met and the fulfillment their mutual sense of responsibility brought to their lives. As Lu Xun was a great writer, "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" can be read as a long novel, with a particularly clear emotional development and a strong sense of life. The writing is exceptionally beautiful, often filled with Lu Xun's unique humor, bringing readers to a knowing smile. Faced with the inevitable contradictions and unexpected challenges of life, their attitudes and methods for solving problems and overcoming difficulties are all worth learning from for today's youth. In this sense, "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" is not only a correspondence-style long novel co-authored by Lu Xun and Xu Guangping but also a highly distinctive guide for young people's self-cultivation—a "youth literature" in today's common terminology. After reading "Original Letters of 'Two Places'," young readers will discover that the true power of love comes from mutual responsibility. To achieve lifelong happiness, one must be responsible to the other. After Lu Xun and Xu Guangping met and married, Lu Xun continued to provide monthly support to his former wife, Zhu An, until her death. After Lu Xun's passing, Xu Guangping continued to provide monthly support to Zhu An until her death. This is true love. Young friends who wish to create a positive mindset in their romantic lives must constantly nourish their spirits with this kind of spiritual sustenance. It will dispel the darkness in your heart and fill it with sunshine, making you live with confidence. No matter how society changes, the pursuit of happiness is human nature. Can you not cherish a book that brings you true happiness? Young people must experience love, and during this time, they naturally communicate through letters to express their feelings. No matter how technology advances, people will ultimately rely on language to deepen understanding, build relationships, and ultimately form families. Outstanding figures throughout history have left very few letters on this topic. Only Lu Xun preserved and published his correspondence with his wife, Xu Guangping, and personally transcribed them as gifts for his son, Zhou Haiyin—this is the famous "Letters from Two Places." The publication of "Original Letters of 'Two Places'" is not only a significant achievement in Lu Xun studies but also a blessing for young people's romantic correspondence—it has now become an acknowledged classic textbook for young people's love letters.
