Features: The Beijing Botanical Garden is located at the foot of Xishan in Beijing, integrated with the (Wofo Temple), Cherry Valley, and the Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall, forming a unified tourist area. Established in 1956, the garden covers an area of 900 acres and is the largest botanical garden in northern China. The Plant Exhibition Greenhouse is the center of the garden, divided into 13 exhibition rooms based on plant species, including the Palm Room, Tropical Aquatic Plant Room, Industrial Raw Material Plant Room, Medicinal Plant Room, and Fragrant Plant Room. In the Succulent Plant Room, the most eye-catching are the diverse cacti, ranging from round to flat and elliptical shapes, some over one meter tall and others as small as fingers. In the Ornamental Plant Room, there are over 300 varieties of orchids. In addition to the 13 exhibition rooms, the garden also features the National Plant Herbarium and a 150-acre Peony Garden. The Peony Garden is divided into three zones, each primarily featuring peonies, with famous peony varieties from all over China. The garden also grows over 3,000 plants such as bamboo, plum blossoms, and crape myrtle. The courtyards feature rockeries, ponds, and winding bridges, organically blending with the flowers, grasses, and trees to create a picturesque garden.
