The entire system is fully integrated, helping teachers create new classroom models and providing students with autonomous and interactive learning environments to meet the needs of diversified, networked, and personalized English teaching.
This book is the third volume of the "Comprehensive Textbook" and is designed for students taking the third level of College English. Below is a brief introduction to the four parts of each unit in the book:
Part 1 provides an audio recording closely related to the unit theme (in forms such as songs, short stories, or essays) for students to practice before class. The transcript of the recording is appended at the end of the book for reference. This activity aims to activate students' existing knowledge schemas, guide them into the topic, and prepare them for learning the text.
Part 2 consists of the main text, a glossary, and exercises. Annotations for the text are provided in footnotes. The exercise section mainly includes the following aspects: text comprehension, language awareness cultivation, and language practice.
Part 3 is composed of a supplementary text, a glossary, and exercises.
Part 4 is an advanced, comprehensive oral and written practice activity. It is conducted after students have studied the main and supplementary texts and undergone a series of language practices, assuming they have mastered the content and language expressions related to the topic. It mainly consists of group discussions and classroom writing, with the latter based on the former. In the appendix of the answers to the exercises at the end of the book, there is a sample essay for students to refer to.
