Features: This book is based on the "Basic Requirements for English Teaching in Higher Vocational and Specialized Education" (Trial Version), focusing on the key element of the text. It provides sentence-by-sentence explanations of the structure of Text A, along with detailed explanations of vocabulary, phrases, verb collocations, and grammar. It also offers thorough explanations of difficult sentences, points, vocabulary, and grammar in Text B. Given the varying English proficiency levels of current higher vocational and specialized education students, this book aims to enhance their English sense and communicative competence through in-depth reading. It emphasizes the cultivation and training of skills in reading, translation, listening, speaking, and writing, with the goal of improving practical reading and application skills, such as those required for application documents, to better meet the needs of frontline foreign-related work and communication. The book is divided into four volumes. After mastering the second volume, students can smoothly pass the B-level exam, and after mastering the fourth volume, they can pass the A-level exam and even the National College English Test (CET-4). Some students passed CET-4 after completing the third volume. When asked about their success, they deeply reflected and said, "It is through in-depth study, comprehension, and thorough understanding of the text—memorization is even better—that we achieve our goal of learning English." The explanation sequence of the text is divided into four parts: ① Original Text → ② Translation → ③ Analysis → ④ Explanation.
① Original Text: Presents the sentences of Text A in sequence and arranges the difficult sentences and points of Text B in chronological order from front to back.
② Translation: Provides an accurate understanding and Chinese expression of the original text.
③ Analysis: Analyzes the sentence components of the original text.
④ Explanation: Offers explanations of linguistic points in the original text and supplementary grammar analysis.
