Features: Most middle school students start learning English by studying textbooks, but very few truly master and excel in them. Everyone focuses their main efforts on memorizing vocabulary, analyzing key and difficult points, and doing a large amount of exercises and test questions, while neglecting to learn the English language itself through reading the text. This is a case of missing the forest for the trees, and as a result, their practical English application skills do not meet the requirements, and they generally have poor listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. This is a common misconception in English learning. English textbooks are systematically and comprehensively written, making them the best material for middle school students to learn English. Experience has proven that reading the text thoroughly, diligently, and repeatedly is an effective method for learning English. However, it is essential to truly understand the pronunciation, meaning, and sentence meaning of every word and sentence in the text, firmly grasp them, accurately understand the entire text, and on this basis, read it repeatedly until it becomes second nature, forming a sense of language. In this way, English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will naturally improve, and even difficult problems encountered in exams will be easily solved. Moreover, memorizing words and understanding grammar in the overall linguistic context of the text is much more effective than learning them in isolation from the context. Therefore, middle school students urgently need a book that provides detailed and comprehensive annotations, translations, and explanations for English textbooks. In response to this situation, we have organized experienced teachers to adhere to the requirements of the new curriculum standards, closely focusing on the People's Education Press English textbook for compulsory education curriculum experiment, and providing annotations, translations, and explanations directly for most words in the text, their phonetic symbols and meanings, translations of each sentence, and phrases of some sentences. Reference answers to exercises in the textbook are also included. With this book, students can overcome learning obstacles, save the trouble of looking up dictionaries and grammar books, save time and effort, and make the process of reading the text more relaxed and enjoyable. Over time, they will be able to fully master the textbook, lay a solid foundation, and improve their English skills. The effect is particularly significant for middle school students in the basic stage.
