Since joining the WTO, China has seen increasing economic, trade, and cultural exchanges with countries around the world, with the scope of involvement continuously expanding. To meet the needs of the situation, we have compiled this "Direct Access to WTO Japanese Tourism - Business Conversation Manual." The book is divided into two parts: the Upper Part focuses on tourism and sightseeing, while the Lower Part focuses on economic and trade content. The Upper Part consists of 10 lessons with 50 topics, mainly covering air travel, entry and exit, accommodation, dining, sightseeing, shopping, getting a ride, shopping, at the bank, at the post office, at the hospital, and communication, among others. The Lower Part consists of 16 lessons with 40 topics, mainly covering factory visits, price inquiries, price negotiations, company visits, order placement, product introductions, payments, contract signing, negotiations, delivery schedules, claims, insurance, packaging, business calls, compensation trade, and tenders, among others. For the structure of each lesson, we have designed it as follows: First, around the topic, we break down the content of each lesson into several topics based on actual situations. Each topic includes conversation, explanation, and vocabulary. At the end of each lesson, we include comprehensive related words and Chinese usage examples. The book also includes some WTO and business-related knowledge. During the writing process, we strive to make the book have the following features: 1. Natural, standard, and practical language. The selected language emphasizes authenticity, avoiding translation-style expressions; ensures grammatical accuracy and compliance with social and cultural norms; and uses vivid and frequently used words. 2. Precise and easy-to-understand explanations. The explanations are primarily reflected in the explanation section, with a focus on selecting content that is difficult for Chinese-native Japanese learners to understand or prone to misuse, and explaining it through examples and comparisons. 3. Rich content and abundant information. To expand the book's content as much as possible, we not only focus on expanding topics but also increase the information volume through related words, Chinese usage examples, and small knowledge sections, making the book a valuable dictionary. During the writing process, we referred to some relevant books, and we list these titles at the end of the book, expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the authors and publishers. From planning to completion, the book was guided by Ms. Song Jinxiu of Dalian University of Technology Press throughout. Without her hard work, this book would not have been published. We hereby extend our sincere thanks.
