Features: This book is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 provides a detailed introduction to the format, process, general content, scoring criteria, performance results, and how to prepare for the IELTS speaking test, as well as common issues that may arise during the test. Chapter 2 is divided into two sections. Section 1 introduces the introduction part of the test in detail; Section 2 focuses on the main content of the introduction part, such as hometown and work, study and school, festivals and travel, and interests and friends, allowing learners to engage in situational dialogues to master common vocabulary, expressions, and sentence structures, and apply them in practice through oral exercises. Chapter 3 is divided into three sections. Section 1 introduces the second part of the test in detail; Section 2, using the description of a person as an example, helps learners understand how to describe, learn the basic vocabulary, expressions, and sentence structures used in descriptions, and improve their expressive skills through oral exercises; Section 3 provides more card content for the second part for practice. Chapter 4 is divided into three sections. Section 1 introduces the third part of the test in detail; Section 2 helps learners understand the scope and purpose of the third part, learn how to describe during discussions, express agreement or disagreement, compare and contrast, evaluate, and make predictions, and through practice, help learners master common sentence structures and expand their vocabulary; Section 3 provides more topics that may appear in the third part of the test for practice. Chapter 5 provides two sets of sample IELTS speaking tests to help learners understand the complete process of the test and conduct simulated practice. Based on the format and common content of the IELTS speaking test, this textbook offers various situational dialogues and sample texts for learners to expand their vocabulary, master a large number of corresponding phrases and sentence structures, and initially grasp English speaking, expressive, and discussion skills. Through oral exercises, learners can apply what they have learned and effectively improve their speaking ability. This textbook can be used as a self-study guide and is also suitable for training courses. Some content was used and improved in the speaking course of the IELTS preparatory class at the Overseas Education Department of Beijing Language and Culture University, and the results were very good.
