Features: "Self-Tutorial for Selected Readings in British and American Literature" (hereinafter referred to as "The Tutorial") is a self-help tutorial compiled by the National Examination Committee Office, based on the "Self-Tutorial Syllabus for Selected Readings in British and American Literature" issued by the National Higher Education Self-Tutorial Examination Guidance Committee, and the designated textbook "Selected Readings in British and American Literature" (edited by Zhang Boxiang, published by FLTRP). The chapter-by-chapter guidance part provides detailed annotations and comments on the ideological views, artistic characteristics, main works, and analyses of the authors; offers relatively detailed annotations and explanations for the key and difficult points of the selected readings; briefly explains some important literary terms; and additionally follows the requirements of the examination.
