Features: The "New Spanish Reading Textbook" is divided into four volumes and is suitable for undergraduate students in their first, second, and third years of Spanish at universities. This series of textbooks was recompiled based on the selection experience of the "Spanish Reading Textbook" (co-edited by Cen Chulan, Chen, and Fu Xiaofang, published by FLTRP in 1988) and feedback from some teachers and students. It retains the format of the original textbook but updates all the texts. The main purpose of this book is to improve reading comprehension skills, expand vocabulary, and broaden knowledge. It aims to implement teaching principles such as scientific rigor, knowledge, practicality, and, striving for diversity in the themes and genres of the texts. The main content includes simple stories, short dialogues, adaptations of literary masterpieces, plays, novels, biographies of famous figures, general overviews of Spanish-speaking countries, short business and economic articles, and contemporary social issues, to meet the needs of the modern era. Each article is accompanied by a vocabulary list to facilitate students' reading and understanding.
