I hate you!" Then she hit him hard on the head with her textbook. Since Anne Shirley moved into the Casper household, life in the village of Avonlea has become no longer dull. They had intended to adopt a boy to help with the farm chores at Green Gables, but instead, they got Annie—a girl with red hair, freckles, and a chatterbox who never stopped talking. She was a kind-hearted child. But her troubles were always constant! First, Mrs. Lind's visit, then the cake for the parish minister's wife, and also her red hair, which, after the argument at school, would Gilbert Brian even pay attention to her?
