Features: What should be done, of course, is explanation. Some comrades are afraid that people will say they are "force-feeding" them, and thus fear speaking in explanation classes. In fact, if the explanation is lively, in English, with short sentences, clear, and learnable, it can make learners happy, and explanation classes can be very engaging. What if you can't explain in English? If you can't explain in English, of course, you can only use Chinese. In a year, you won't know it; in the second year, you'll be familiar with it; and by the third year, you'll be even more proficient. Additionally, you can listen to recordings on tapes. You don't need to demand that your pronunciation be exactly the same as the recording, but at least it should sound smooth. Learning a foreign language, whether your language is good or not, requires long-term practice. Many comrades have been teaching for decades, yet they still have an accent. This is not something to be afraid of. British people speak French, French people speak English, Germans speak English, and British people speak German—none of them are without an accent. However, their speech is still clear to others. The main thing is two points: one is to articulate clearly, not dropping any syllables; the other is to place stress accurately. Achieving these two points will ensure good pronunciation.
