Features: French phrases, including verb phrases, adverb phrases, prepositional phrases, conjunction phrases, impersonal phrases, and some difficult-to-categorize idiomatic phrases. These phrases greatly enrich French expression. This book collects over 500 phrases (basically one per day, but some phrases can be generalized, or similar in form or meaning to others, or have opposite meanings, all of which are explained in the notes for the respective phrases) to help readers learn and use them. The book is organized on the principle of one phrase per day, and we have tried to include common and practical phrases. However, considering that readers already have a certain foundation in French, overly simple phrases have not been included. Additionally, as it is not a phrase dictionary, rare or overly difficult phrases have also been excluded.
Each section of the book first categorizes the phrases, then explains their structure, usage characteristics, and grammatical functions in sentences, followed by a large number of example sentences to illustrate their usage. All example sentences are accompanied by translations. Some easily confused phrases, or those with similar or opposite meanings, are grouped together and compared in the notes to help readers distinguish their usage.
