Features: This dictionary is divided into a German-Chinese dictionary and a Chinese-German dictionary, primarily intended for Chinese readers learning and using German, as well as for German readers learning and using Chinese. The German-Chinese dictionary contains over 17,000 entries, including all the words from the two glossaries attached to the "Teaching Syllabus for the Basic Stage of German Majors in Higher Education" and the "Teaching Syllabus for Advanced German Courses for German Majors in Higher Education." Additionally, it pays special attention to selecting new words. All entries are marked with stress, and foreign words are annotated with phonetic symbols. For the convenience of foreign readers, all definitions are accompanied by Pinyin. To ensure the accuracy of the definitions, we referred to the "Du-den-bedeutungsworterbuch" and the "duden-deutschesuniversalw?rterbuch" during the compilation process.
The Chinese-German dictionary focuses on modern China's politics, economy, culture, and daily life terms, while also referencing the "Common Chinese Characters List" published by the State Language Commission in November 1987. It includes all 2,500 frequently used characters and 1,000 less frequently used characters from the list, as well as the modern Chinese words and phrases provided by the list. Additionally, it pays special attention to selecting some new words that have emerged in recent years. The Chinese-German dictionary contains over 21,000 entries, including single-character and multi-character words, arranged in Pinyin order.
