Features: The course materials for the "2006 Postgraduate Entrance Exam Political Theory Review Guide" (hereinafter referred to as "The Guide") cover: Principles of Marxist Philosophy, Principles of Marxist Political Economy, Outline of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Theory of the "Three Represents," and Contemporary World Economy and Politics. The Guide is structured into three main parts for each course:
1. "Theoretical Review Guidance" section, which includes an overview of basic content (basic knowledge and principles), key review points, and review tips, aiming to help candidates grasp the systematic theory while focusing on key areas and understanding issues that require special attention during review.
2. "Practical Operation Practice" section, which provides examples of question types based on the content of each chapter and past exam questions. These include multiple-choice questions (single and multiple), identification questions, and analysis questions (formerly material analysis and essay questions). The selection of question types is designed to be representative, typical, and practical, helping candidates to apply knowledge flexibly and improve their problem-solving skills.
3. "Review and Reflection Questions" section, which summarizes the key content of each chapter in a question-based format. Candidates are encouraged to reflect on the key content and issues of each chapter, think independently, answer questions by themselves, and assess their review progress to determine further study directions. This is a self-directed review process involving self-summary, self-problem-solving, and self-testing.
Additionally, after each part (each course), there is an analysis of different types of questions. Some important and representative questions are selected, and along with their correct answers, the Guide provides further analysis of the problem-solving approach and methodology. It explains why certain answers are correct while others are not, guiding candidates to solve various types of questions correctly.
At the end of the Guide, there is an appendix that includes selected political theory questions and answers from the national postgraduate entrance exams from 1996 to 2003, as well as the 2004 exam questions and answers. This is intended to help candidates understand past exam trends, learn key problem-solving strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of the exam requirements and development directions, enabling them to review more effectively.
During the revision of the Guide, special attention was paid to the following key issues:
1. Emphasizing the systematicity and comprehensiveness of theory. To assist candidates in systematic review, the Guide does not simply pile up problem-solving answers but combines broad and detailed explanations to accurately and comprehensively present the basic content of the political theory exam scope. It introduces the fundamental knowledge and theories of each discipline, aiming to provide candidates with systematic rather than fragmented knowledge. This is extremely important. Without a holistic and comprehensive understanding of the content of the political theory course, it is impossible to grasp its core principles.
2. Highlighting key content while maintaining comprehensiveness and systematicity. The Guide focuses on explaining essential knowledge points, guiding candidates to grasp the main points and expand their understanding, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their review. Detailed discussions are provided for key issues in each chapter, along with reminders of important points to note.
3. Adhering to the spirit of "keeping pace with the times"—focusing on the application of Marxist theory, theoretical reflection on practical issues, and new practices and developments. The Guide strengthens the connection between theory and practice, using various question types to inspire candidates to think independently and improve their ability to apply theory to real-world problems, such as China's reform and opening-up, modernization efforts, and various economic, political, and cultural issues in the contemporary world.
4. Guiding learning and review methods. While imparting knowledge and introducing theories, the Guide consistently emphasizes guidance on learning and review methods. From a certain perspective, this is even more important for candidates.
