Features: Reviews of restaurants should involve public participation. Based on this concept, we founded Dianping. On the website, every friend can record their dining experiences at restaurants, praise the good ones, and criticize the bad ones freely and casually. To help more friends utilize these valuable consumer information, the website adopts scientific methods to refine and summarize member reviews, objectively reflecting the characteristics of restaurants; then, it provides fair ratings and rankings for restaurants in various cities. On this basis, we have successively compiled city guides for Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and a national guide. This book is the 2nd edition of the "Beijing Restaurant Guide," featuring 2,450 well-known or distinctive restaurants in Beijing. We select restaurants entirely based on member reviews, striving to truthfully and objectively reflect the changes in Beijing's dining industry over the past year. In terms of layout and design, it is largely the same as the 2005 edition: restaurants are alphabetically sorted, categorized by environment, cuisine, and region with ranking lists, and personalized indexes such as "time-honored brands" and "wedding banquet" are provided. To make it more convenient for readers, the new edition has added "Recommended New Additions" and more category-based ranking lists.
