Features: Comfortable, originally named Shu Changge, originally from Cixi, Zhejiang, born in Beijing in 1916, famous Chinese film actor and director. Influenced by his father, Shu Changge developed a love for Peking Opera from a young age and began performing on stage at the age of ten, once studying under Mei Lanfang. In 1933, he entered Fudan University before transferring to the Law Department of Zhizhi University. In 1935, he joined the Shanghai University Drama Association and performed in the play "Black Hell." After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, he dropped out of school and joined Yu Ling's Qingniao Drama Society, performing in plays such as "Thunderstorm" and "Sunrise." He also performed in plays like "Wu Zetian," "The True Story of Ah Q," "The Wild Field," and "Yue Fei" in over forty other drama societies, becoming one of the most popular young actors on the Shanghai theater scene at the time.
