Bible fairy tales

Features: The stories in this book are very old, even dating back to the birth of humanity and the origins of nations. These stories are selected and translated from several popular foreign fairy tales and the Bible, meaning they all originate from the book called "The Bible." Although the Bible is the highest classic of Christianity, it has been regarded as a sacred symbol and held immense authority for many years. In many Western countries, even the president's inauguration and court oaths are sworn in front of it. However, from the perspective of its content and historical origins, the Bible comes from the real life of the ancient Hebrew nation and the profound suffering of the people over centuries. The Bible records the historical development and changes of various ethnic groups in the ancient Mediterranean region. It is a valuable historical document and also an all-encompassing encyclopedia of ancient culture. It has contributed unique ideas and a wealth of material to Western literature, painting, sculpture, ballads, music, and architecture. Due to the power of Christianity, the Bible has influenced and even determined the face of Western culture for thousands of years. It has long been used by Christianity as a doctrine to regulate the spiritual world, thus shrouding the Bible in a halo of sanctity and mystery. With the progress of history and the development of science, the Bible is no longer the intimidating and secretive treasure book it once was. Of course, we can rationally understand and explain the "miracles" and teachings recorded in the Bible, but its fundamental influence on Western culture and ethics is objectively real. In today's era, where exchange drives development, understanding the Bible and its impact is crucial for China, which is opening its doors to the world. So, isn't it meaningful to let such an engaging book as "Bible Fairy Tales" guide us into the garden of the Bible and introduce us to the source of Western literature and art, as well as many allusions? The stories in the Bible have a clear didactic purpose. On one hand, they emphasize moral character, advocating kindness and helping others, and pursue faith, praising steadfastness and loyalty—these are the fundamental qualities that shape a person's soul and character. On the other hand, as a religion long practiced by rulers, it demands complete submission and ignorant piety from the people. In these stories, we can hear the desires and voices of the oppressed and feel the longing of the people for peace amidst war and displacement. Generation after generation, people dream of returning to their lost homes and living a peaceful, prosperous life. The Bible entrusts all these beautiful hopes to God and the savior. Therefore, religion is the opium that anesthetizes the people's spirit and a reflection of their suffering. We should still remember: "There has never been a savior, nor do we rely on gods or emperors!" God does not exist, and prophets and miracles are merely myths and fairy tales. Striving for peace and stability, creating a happy life—this can only be done by ourselves—just as it is in any era.
