Features: Comes with an English version of Sex and the City. This is the original novel of the globally popular TV series Sex and the City. The novel is closer to the life of Manhattan than the TV show, and the endings of its main characters are also quite different from those in the series. In the TV show, the fates of the four main characters all return to traditional marriage and family life: some love through thorns but eventually reunite; some prefer solitude but raise a child and care for their mother-in-law; some have promiscuous sex but eventually become monogamous; some are extremely picky but learn to tolerate each other. However, the novel is not entirely like that. The novel features more main characters, with Kelly—a journalist—as the central figure, gradually unfolding the story. Therefore, the novel is more like a social portrait of upper-class New York, with a significant number of characters and locations being real, and the content is no exception. We can clearly see the endings of more characters: they do not live according to any man's wishes. Samantha eventually decides to leave New York, abandoning everything she knows and marrying Tyler Kord. Bell refuses to have children and is promoted to CEO. Bridgets her husband and lives life to the fullest. Amita climbs out of the slums, starts her own consulting company, and sends her illegitimate daughter to a prestigious school. Kelly remains single, and perhaps Kelly and Mr. Big's eventual breakup will make many who know them feel sad and regretful, but this is the authentic Manhattan, this is the bone-chillingly lonely New York.
