Mr. Jin Shangyi is a celebrated contemporary Chinese oil painter and has served as the President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (1987–2001) for many years. He currently holds the position of Academic Director at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, President of the China Artists Association, Vice President of the China Literature and Art Federation, and Director of the National Art Education Committee. Since embarking on his artistic journey in the early 1950s, he has dedicated himself to oil painting with unwavering determination, becoming an outstanding representative among the cultural and artistic workers nurtured by the People's Republic of China. At the same time, he has long been engaged in art education, dedicating immense effort to cultivating talent and making significant contributions. He is a visionary and dedicated art educator.
This year, Mr. Jin Shangyi is in his seventies, at the peak of his life with ample experience, and continues to pursue new creations. This art album is not only a compilation of his existing achievements but also a symbol of the enduring vitality of his artistic career.
