Features: The Annual Development Report of China's Cultural Industries (2006) (hereinafter referred to as "this annual report") is jointly compiled by the Institute of Cultural Industries, Peking University, and the National Research Base for Innovation and Development of Cultural Industries, with the participation of numerous renowned scholars and entrepreneurs in the cultural industries. The 2006 edition adheres to the editorial principles of the previous three years (2003, 2004, and 2005) and continues to focus on micro-enterprises as the primary analytical subjects in the cultural industries, thoroughly examining the business practices of innovative and enterprising cultural enterprises and entrepreneurs. Additionally, to comprehensively reflect the current state and development trends of China's cultural industries, this report will highlight representative innovative practices and business models in the cultural industries during 2006. At the same time, we will systematically examine and analyze the policy frameworks related to the cultural industries in this report.
As an annual development report for the industry, this report not only aims to provide an annual review of China's cultural industries but also reflects the characteristics of tracking research. Therefore, this annual report not only reflects the current state and development trends of China's cultural industries but also, to some extent, demonstrates the trajectory of the development of China's cultural industries and their related policies. Based on years of experience in writing and reader feedback, we have made significant adjustments to the structure of the reports on various industries. We have collected extensive information and data on industry competition and investment, which occupies a substantial portion of the report. This makes this annual report not only a valuable reference for academia and government management but also a crucial basis for enterprises making investment decisions in the cultural industries.
This annual report is based on numerous relevant research findings, and it extensivelys data and research results from research institutions, researchers, and industry organizations. We extend our gratitude to these institutions and individuals. Due to the limitations of the authors' expertise and the tight schedule of writing, we sincerely hope readers will point out any shortcomings in this annual report to facilitate further improvements in future editions. Additionally, given the report's length and the abundance of cited materials and data, we welcome any corrections or omissions in the references.
