Features: Organizing the "First Contemporary Calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of China Art Museum," this event marks the beginning of the China Art Museum's initiatives in calligraphy research, collection, exhibition, aesthetic popularization education, and international exchange. For this calligraphy nomination exhibition, we established an Organizing Committee and an Art Committee. The Art Committee held six meetings successively, formulating and reviewing the "Method for Selecting Calligraphers for the 'First Contemporary Calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of China Art Museum'" and the "Submission Requirements and Handling Procedures for Works in the 'First Contemporary Calligrapher Nomination Exhibition of China Art Museum'."
We hope to gather the wisdom of the elite in contemporary Chinese calligraphy through this exhibition, showcasing the development of contemporary Chinese calligraphy art to the world and providing a collection of outstanding works for the China Art Museum's calligraphy collection and research. Through the charm of calligraphy art itself, we aim to inspire deeper reflection, enabling us to genuinely recognize the various factors influencing the development of contemporary Chinese calligraphy and how to explore the future of calligraphy art in future creative practices.
We will take the first nomination exhibition as a starting point to continue hosting this exhibition, thereby establishing it as a signature calligraphy art exhibition of the China Art Museum. This will lay a solid foundation for the in-depth development of related work in calligraphy collection, research, exhibition, aesthetic popularization education, and international exchange at the China Art Museum.
